Mark Forsyth
Age: 42 (yeah right!)
Hometown: Queenstown, New Zealand

Qualifications/experience: Registered Guide QLDC, Swift Water Rescue, NZ Rafting Association River Workshop, First Aid, Trip Leader, 14 years rafting experience.

I started rafting on the Shotover River when I qualified as a guide in 1993.
In the following years, I became a senior raft guide, then trip leader. After working as a rafting guide for other rafting companies for twelve years, I became a Director of Family Adventures in 2005.
Becoming a family man myself in 2001, I found it to be the perfect stepping stone into the business and to carry on doing what I love and to be able to share my experience with young and old.

I have a passion for the river and the Skippers Goldfields and enjoy sharing my knowledge of the area. In summer I love to raft and in winter I ski, so Queenstown is my perfect playground.

I look forward to see you on our trip so you can experience it too!

Haley Buffman
Home: USA

Haley began working in the rafting industry 6 years ago on the whitewater of West Virginia.  Since then she has worked on rivers in Montana, Idaho, Oregon, and NewZealand.  She is a Wilderness EMT and worked as the director of a ski patrol medical clinic in New Hampshire for two seasons. Haley is trained as a Swiftwater Rescue
Technician, has her New Zealand Grade 4/5 guide license and has completed a New Zealand Rescue Workshop.  In the last year she has split her time between teaching CPR and First Aid and working as a lead guide for multi-sport backcountry adventure trips for teenage girls in Montana, Hawaii, and Washington.

Haley loves photography and has dreams of starting her own photography business.   Her education is based in the arts with a degree in music.  She came to the outdoor industry from a successful career as a classical bassist and has performed across the US as well as Germany, Austria, Italy, Russia, and China.

Haley loves to spend her time on the water, cracking jokes and having a great time. She has a contagious enthusiasm for the outdoors and the river.
