From Friday 3 December, New Zealand will move into the COVID-19 Protection Framework (Traffic Light System).
As part of fulfilling our health and safety obligations to all staff, visitors, whānau and communities, as of Friday 3 December, Family Adventures requires all guests and spectators 12 years + to be fully vaccinated and show proof of vaccination on arrival.
If you are not fully vaccinated, you will not be able to take part in our trip. This includes any rafters and drive only's.
Clients will need to provide proof of vaccination which can come in the form of a digital or hardcopy of the relevant record from My Covid Record provided by the Ministry of Health.
We thank you for your co-operation and understanding as we do our bit to keep our community safe.
Queenstown is at ORANGE, please read the following information on how we will be operating at this level:
· Have your My Vaccine Pass open and ready for scanning by our guide/bus driver
· Please have your face covering on
· We require you to scan our vehicle into your Covid Tracing app
What we're doing to keep you safe:
· We require all kaimahi (staff) and manuhiri (visitors) to wear masks in our buses and inside our base building, whilst handing out gear. Free masks will be available .
· Onboard the rafts, masks aren't a requirement. Our rafts and all equipment are carefully cleaned after every trip.
· We will ensure (when possible) to keep bubbles seperate.

Why have you chosen to mandate Vaccine certificates?
We have fully reviewed all the New Zealand government and Ministry of Health advice and believe this is the best method to protect our guests, our communities, and our staff.
Why can’t I provide you with a negative COVID-19 test instead of My Vaccine Pass?
Under the COVID-19 Protection Framework, tourism activities are a mandated sector. Operating under vaccination requirements, My Vaccine Pass is the only acceptable form of evidence to meet Government requirements.
If I don’t want to get vaccinated, will I get a full refund?
If your booking was made with us before 3 December 2021, we will provide a full refund. If your booking was not made directly with us please talk to your point of purchase to seek a full refund. For bookings received post 3 December 2021 our normal terms and conditions will apply.
Are all your staff fully vaccinated?
Family Adventures is following the COVID-19 Protection Framework government guidelines to help minimise the spread and harm of COVID-19 for our guests and our communities. All our teams interacting with guests will be fully vaccinated by 3rd December.
Do I have to wear a face mask?
Yes, mask use is mandatory in our buses and base building in Skippers Canyon for anyone over the age of 12, masks will be available on site if needed. Any visitor who refuses to wear a mask will not be permitted.
Customer's are NOT required to wear masks on the river.
If we book a private trip, do we still need a vaccination certificate?
Yes, you will still need a vaccination certificate to protect our employees.
